###FAQ###

>What do I need to join the game?

**A legal copy of Europa Universalis IV on Steam** [[store page](http://store.steampowered.com/app/236850/Europa_Universalis_IV/)]. You do **not** need to purchase or own any additional DLC yourself. We always host our campaigns with all DLC enabled.

>How do I join the lobby?

Join our [Steam group](https://steamcommunity.com/groups/EuropeReddit). When the lobby opens, click on the profile of one of the people who are already in the game, and join their game. The password will be in the Discord channel.

>I have never played this game before, can I join?

Sure but… EU4 is a very complicated game. It’s hard to manage as is, but in a multiplayer environment what is already confusing can quickly become overwhelming. Try to familiarize yourself with the game before jumping in. Finish the tutorial, start and play a game, etc.

>My internet is shit, can I still play?

To some extent. We usually do not rehost when players drop out, so attempting to play without a stable internet connection will be a very brief and frustrating experience. Additionally, players who lag or desync very frequently and slow the game down will be removed.

  1. I’d like to play as Riga, but not if Livonian order is taken by another player. Can I reserve Livonian order, but switch over to Riga at the game start if it is not taken by another player?

  2. I probably won’t be able to reliably make it every week but I would love to participate occasionally… What would be a good way to make this work? Anything aside from subbing in for people who can’t make it for a session? Would hate to block a nation at the start only to then abandon it two or three weeks in… I have some MP experience but not an awful lot (two /r/europe campaigns last year), I’d say I’m a pretty decent technical player but a bit too lazy to properly scheme enough to be one of the top contenders 😀
